Social Dance Events

Where Every Step Brings Joy and Connection

At DanceSport Boston, our Social Dance Events are more than just a night out—they’re an experience. Whether you're brand new to ballroom or have years of dancing under your belt, our events offer a fun, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere where you can truly let loose and enjoy the music.

Our Dance Party Fridays are one of the most-loved events at the studio—a popular way to practice and connect with fellow dancers while enjoying a fun night of social dancing, light instruction, and great company. Whether you're refining your skills or soaking in the atmosphere, it’s always a night to look forward to! It’s the perfect opportunity to apply what you've learned in your group or private lessons—no pressure, just pure enjoyment.

You’ll dance to a variety of styles including waltz, foxtrot, cha-cha, swing, salsa, rumba, and more, with guidance always available from our instructors if you need a tip or two. Whether you’re coming solo or with a partner, everyone is welcome, and no experience is required.

Each event is a chance to build confidence, connect with others, and most importantly—have fun. It’s not just about dancing. It’s about discovering a vibrant community and making memories that move you.

Ballroom dancing is the best way to celebrate date night! Anne Marie's social basics class is fun and provides beginner dancers with the necessary skills to attend social dancing events. I would highly recommend Dancesport Boston to couples who enjoy each others company and are looking for a fun, inexpensive way to spend date night.

I was skeptical at first and couldn't see how this could be accomplished without actually dancing. The instructors lead us in exercises that are applicable to dancing. Last week's class was awesome as we all showed off our rumba "latinized" walk. I strongly recommend this class if you're looking for fine-tuning your latin moves.

This is a motivational class that conditions my body and posture in preparation to learn to do Latinized dance steps and moves correctly. I like the idea that the class gets me doing exercises that I probably would not ever do if I weren't a participant in this class. I find this class rewarding. Thanks for being such a great teacher, Anne Marie.
