DanceSport Boston Ballroom Dance Studio

DanceSport Boston is owned and directed by Anna Maria and John Paul. They have been teaching Ballroom Dance since 1984 and 1981. Anna Maria and John competed in the American Rhythm and Smooth Divisions as professional competitors consistently achieving finalist positions. They finished their competivitve dancing in 1992. Both John & Anna Maria are members of the National Dance Council of America.

Anna Maria has a BFA in fashion design and is a current faculty member in the Boston University Dance Department teaching Ballroom Dance credit courses. John gave up his teaching positions at the Cambridge Center for Adult education and Boston University to focus on building our current studio location. They maintain a full time schedule of instructing and preparing students for both the social and competitive levels of ballroom dancing.

A Brief History

"DanceSport Boston" as a business was established in 1994. Our initial years doing business included teaching Ballroom Dance, vending top quality Ballroom Music CD's to our industry peers at DanceSport Competition venues. In 2004 we opened our current studio location in North Weymouth, Massachusetts. We added the service of offering Ballroom Dance Shoes, and established our weekly Dance Party Fridays as well as our scheduled Saturday Evening Ballroom Dance™ in Hanover, MA. Both Dance Party Fridays and the Saturday Evening Dances are open to the public.
